God in his mercies, grace has a great love for mankind to even trust them With His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. He gave Him up to suffer into the hands of men with a purpose of saving the same man.Jesus, though God became obedient even to death on the cross so that man may gain the likeness of God lost through Sin. And as if these was not enough, God has always intended that man may operate in powers like His. For these reason, Jesus’ ascension into even marked a beginning of God’s own power working in men.But what is this power? and who is this power? this are some of the questions that if we as Christian get to understand them, then we will raise to our level that is truly intended for us. Acts 1:6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The disciples where first concerned with the physical restoration of the kingdom which is yet to come but Jesus takes up to explain a coming kingdom of power that is brought into man through the Holy spirit. Every form of the heavenly kingdom is made available into man through Him (the Holy Spirit). That’s why we say as per the word that God can do abundantly more than we can imagine according to the power that works within us which is truly God the Holy Spirit. Looking keenly onto the lives and the mission of the disciples of Jesus immediately after Pentecost, they are a changed people operating in supernatural ways. But You ask, “I have craved for this power for years and yet can operate it!”. Its true many wants it and its available for them. The question I also pose to you is “How much are you dead to yourself?” if you got an answer for these, then go for the power and continue with the work of the apostles… Trust me.. The Gospel of Christ is Not Just With Words But With Power too.

Shalom.
